i bought this for my newborn grandson and was surprised when his almost-three-year-old brother liked it as much as he did. the book is larger than my adult hands and thick enough to be pleasing to any hands. there are only a few pages, but each turn of the page offers a new activity as we sing the itsy bitsy spider song. the book is well made and makes the perfect eniticing crinkly sounds that infants love to experience. the fact that this book also entices older toddlers is an additional plus. one thing to know is that because this is fairly large, it's not the one book you might easily tuck into a handbag while on the go.

Another useful product from Melissa and Doug - FYI this brand since 2017 consistently tests heavy metal free - no arsenic, lead, cadmium, or mercury. Thank you for being responsible!

Super cute, my 6 month old loves it, we sing the song while he plays with the book. He likes to chew on it, which is fine, it’s easy to wash.

Fun little book, wish it had a ring/hook so I could hang it from my son’s floor gyms, but I can get a plastic link through the middle of the book, so it works.

I have bought multiple copies of this book over the past years and must say that the little ones get a lot of joy out of them. They are repeatedly fascinated by the textures and sounds and actions. Makes for fun tummy time activity. The clean so easy and hold up well - except when chewed by family dog.

I am not sure why but my grandson loves this book. I sing the song and he turns the pages, interacting with the rain and sun. It is really cute to see his reaction. And he never gets tired of it.

Our 10 month old son loves this book! Had we got it earlier, he would have loved it for the crinkly noises and ability to chew it. Lol. He loves playing with the “rain” (blue ribbons) and making the sun come out (with a flap). We read this book over and over and he loves it. :)

Gift for my 9 month old nephew, he loves it! Cute pictures and shape. He loves chewing on if and turning the pages. He also loves finding the sun! Melissa and Doug have done a great job.

My daughter posted my 4 month old grandson will now do bedtime more easily if he can have Itsy-Bitsy read to him?? It is a cute book of course brings back childhood memories. Glad I bought it for him.
