Melissa and doug products are great.<br />We love these magnetic dolls.<br />We have a few already this was another adition.<br />They work well and stay even when being stood up and moved around.<br /><br />The peices have nice coloring and it doesn't peel off the magnet as some of the cheaper ones I've bough start peeling and the hold isn't as strong.for the price your getting a great product that's going to last.<br />Like I already said with 6 kids this brand is a trusted and rested Brand by us!<br /><br />One thing I dont like is that there is not real top. It would be nice if this came with something to keep the peices in. But the pastiche that is over it is just for packaging. So the peices can fall out easily. We still keep our in the regular box on a shelf and stack all the ones we have together. But again with no lid I'm sure we have lost shoes to others and small peices.

My son really likes this and has been playing (somewhat) happily with it, but was very disappointed to find that the box contained only 25 of the 26 pieces pictured. Specifically our set is missing the construction man's helmet. Poor quality control by M&D. Disappointed, but not interested in the hassle of sending it back for replacement.

Only complaint is there is no top to put over the set when you put it back in the wooden box it came in. The original cover is just Cellophane.

My 4 year old doesn't spend a long time on most toys. He spent at least 45 minutes playing dress up with this magnetic toy. I loved how he made up stories about the characters and was able to mix n match the outfits. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish It came with a lid to store the items inside the box.

I'm just not a fan of Melissa and Doug, period. I think they are poor quality (paint flakes) and just a little more thought could make them better. For instance, why go through the effort of making a wooden storage box if it doesn't have a lid? A hinged lid with a clasp would have made this way better to clean up and store (even on a bookcase). Or a flat magnetic lid if they didn't want hinges. Just a lid that fits and stays on! As it is, I'll probably zip lock the pieces and toss the box - how wasteful.

I was very excited when I found these for my two nephews. My 5 year old has a set and she has had them for about 2 years. I have looked for the past two years for a boy version and finally found one. Yah!!

It's a great gift but a piece was missing. I wish I had known when I bought this in August. I gave it as a Christmas gift. Luckily it was the Knight which doesn't matter to my son.
