Mission: Mercy Education Project is a learning community that promotes access to boundless opportunities for women and girls in Detroit and the surrounding areas.
MEP is a female-centric space dedicated to personal growth and stability, where quality education, access to resources, encouragement, and empowerment are the vehicles for their future success no matter their backgrounds, beliefs, or socio-economic situation.

Target demographics: We serve low-income women ages 18 and over and at-risk girls in Detroit with a special emphasis on southwest Detroit at no cost to them.

Programs: Girls' Program: MEP provides curriculum-based after-school tutoring in reading and math to female Detroit students grades 2 through 12.MEP also offers a College and Career Readiness (CCR) program for 11th and 12th graders who are determined to be college-bound.
Women's Program: MEP provides highly individualized educational services including adult basic education courses, GED prep classes. MEP is dedicated to helping every woman pass the GED test. MEP also offers college, career, and job readiness preparation designed to support women as they transition into higher education, the workforce, and specialized training. MEP is a State of Michigan certified hybrid learning facility, offering online, in-person, and hybrid education.
