Mission: To ensure the sustainable ecological integrity and balanced, managed use of the Merrimack River and its watershed through science, advocacy, partnering and recreation.

Geographic areas served: Merrimack River Valley in New Hampshire & Massachusetts

Programs: The merrimack river watershed council partnered with other organizations in new hampshire and massachusetts to protect the merrimack river and its watershed. We offer public events for all massachusetts and new hampshire residents. These programs include paddling trips, public lectures, educational workshops and field trips for school children, stormwater outreach and water testing. The organization is the only full time activist group for the water quality of the 125-mile long merrimack river and its tributaries in massachusetts and new hampshire.
