Everyone who has done Pilates for a while will tell you the same thing: While being similar in some ways, reformer Pilates is superior to mat based Pilates as the variety of available exercises is increased, providing far more variety to those working out. The SPX Max Reformer Bundle from Merrithew, which comes standard with full commercial features, is the Pilates Reformer you're looking for to excite your clients, re-energize your classes and enhance your studio or clinic. With so many adjustments available, each user will enjoy a near-personalized experience. Three gearbar positions, six carriage stopping positions and three headrest positions are just a few of the customizable options. The adjustable four-position footbar drops easily into cradles, regulating hip and knee flexion. The 1" thick wooden standing platform and pommel-style shoulder rests support a wide range of body weights while the carriage glides smoothly and friction-free over aluminum rails. As the number of springs determines total resistance, Reformers come standard with five high-precision springs: 3 x 100%, 1 x 50% and 1 x 25%. Built to last and built to be busy, the Reformer features durable vinyl upholstery and dense EVA foam which provide maximum client comfort and accurate proprioceptive feedback. The retractable rope system along with the recoiling rope reels makes changing rope lengths a breeze. The longer ropes add increased range of motion and fluidity to exercises allowing for more programming options. For facilities with limited space or multi-purpose exercise rooms, the Reformer Bundle is terrific as it's lightweight and stackable. A feature that benefits home users as well. Well-built and made with great care and attention, there's very little to do once it's out of the box as there's only minimal assembly required. Fantastic for group classes, the SPX Max Reformer Bundle is 22" wide, 9" off the floor and includes the Reformer Box with footstrap, a padded platform extender, the maple roll-up pole, soft reformer loops, the carriage stopper, a DVD of workout instructions, an owner's manual and assembly instructions. The Reformer has a weight capacity of 350 lbs. Five neoprene spring covers come standard, one for each spring, to aid in noise reduction. The front and back ends of all Reformers feature easy-roll wheels to make repositioning simple. The headrest adjusts to three positions: flat, half-raised or fully raised. It should be adjusted to ensure the neck and shoulders are comfortable and tension-free when lying supine. To clean, wipe vinyl surfaces using warm water and mild soap. Please ensure soap does not make surfaces slippery. Clean channels, rails and rollers daily with just a damp cloth.
