I bought this for my son's house to use at an end bedroom that is on second storyOnly way out would be the window in a fire. The ladder rolls up for storage but easily hooks over window sill to use quicklySeems sturdy for adult use

This ladder is somewhat heavy (I have an 11 year old child and I'm not sure if he would really be able to use it in a pinch without adult assistance), but I feel safer being on the second floor of an apartment and having an escape route out the windows if ever need be. This was very affordable and while I can't really attest to how easy it is to use or how it holds up (thankfully!), it does seem to be very sturdy. I like how it has instructions for use printed right on the velcro part where you pull it open when you need to use it.

My 10 year old put it up on the first try with minimal direction. He is smart, but I think anyone can figure it out quickly, which is the most important aspect. Only question I have is: how do you make sure you don't drop it out the window when setting it up; the moving parts make hooking it up slightly awkward, creating this risk.

We purchased this for our oldest daughter after a fire safety lesson at school left her anxious about a home fire. Now we keep it under her bed, just in case. It would be easy to set up out the window, and it would easily hold the weight of any of us. This is a small price to pay for the potential to save the life of our precious children.

I was a little skeptical at first for the application we were using it for but it held up. It held me no problem and with my gear on I was 210lbs. There wasn't too much of a swing effect and each step was where you would want it to be in a hurry! I understand it's original intent but if you seek adventure like my wife and I, this can be used creatively as it's compact and light weight. The large hooks on the top end can be used for many odd ball shaped areas outside of just a window seal. Oh and delivery was pretty fast too!

I highly reccomend these for anyone with a 3 story house. Just know they are heavy and youll need to teach your kids how to use them in case of an emergency
