I love how easy it is to unfold and fold back up, storing it is easy, such a great simple idea, and can be so crucial during an emergency. Love this!

So far, thankfully, I've not had to use it. I'm a senior who lives alone in a 2nd story apartment I have to take precautions for emergencies. It's sturdily built directions to use it are easy to understand. I would consider it as medium-weight it's easy to handle.

I have not used it yet thank god. But I am sure it will get the job done. I am not going to rate the sturdiness and ease of use because under pressure when a fire is going on safety is what matters most. It is a hanging flexible ladder so sturdiness is not so much a thing. It is not sturdy but it gets the job done. If you want sturdy then put a permanent ladder on the side of your house. However this will get the job done.

When we moved into a rental that has a second story, we knew we needed to get a fire ladder. This one is lightweight in the box and I sleep better knowing if something were to happen we have another mode of exit from the second floor. I have not had to use it, but I am glad it's there!

Kidde has changed the width of the steps. It is now 2 narrower from side to side than the one I got previously.

It will serve its purpose as an emergency exit this item is pretty good, it will be use for an emergency exit for the children, which I hope never to use this item. It is an item but it's good but for the car safety I wish you never to use it, which means I would be careful in my house that nothing happens

I have not had need to use this, but when I received it I unboxed it and made sure I was familiar with how it works. It is compact, seems quite easy to deploy in an emergency, and seems sturdy enough for a safe exit in an emergency. It's stowed in an easy to access spot under my bed right by the window, should I ever need it.

Got two of these for emergency escapes from the second floor. Sturdily built and easy to use (in the test run at least). Hopefully will never truly need them but glad they are here.

After some recent headlines of people being trapped in fires that they could have possibly escaped had they had access to the proper equipment, we purchased this ladder. It is heavier than anticipated, so we know that our grandchildren could never deploy this on their own; so we created a shelf close to a window and laid the folded ladder on that. If they can throw the first rung out the window, the rest of the ladder, like a slinky, will deploy properly. Hopefully, we will never need it, but it's comforting to know we have it
