I haven't used this yet. Thankfully there has been no need. I did take it out of the box and it is lightweight and looks just like they advertise it to be.

I have not had need to use this, but when I received it I unboxed it and made sure I was familiar with how it works. It is compact, seems quite easy to deploy in an emergency, and seems sturdy enough for a safe exit in an emergency. It's stowed in an easy to access spot under my bed right by the window, should I ever need it.

Got two of these for emergency escapes from the second floor. Sturdily built and easy to use (in the test run at least). Hopefully will never truly need them but glad they are here.

After some recent headlines of people being trapped in fires that they could have possibly escaped had they had access to the proper equipment, we purchased this ladder. It is heavier than anticipated, so we know that our grandchildren could never deploy this on their own; so we created a shelf close to a window and laid the folded ladder on that. If they can throw the first rung out the window, the rest of the ladder, like a slinky, will deploy properly. Hopefully, we will never need it, but it's comforting to know we have it

I said it that way in the headline because they tell you not to test it, because you'll never get it folded back up right, and they can't guarantee it will deploy properly after that. But it seems sturdy, deploys easily, and looks like it will simply extend to the ground when you pull the little Velcro tab.

Very well made! Would definitely recommend. Excellent for a two story house. Gives you another way out if there is a fire. If you think about it most fires start downstairs . If it blocks your stairs, the only way is out your window. If you jump, your sure to injure yourself. Don't know why it didn't occur to me sooner. If you're thinking about it get this one.

Bought this for my Daughter's college apartment since her roommates love candles. Hope she never needs it. But better safe than sorry.

Are you kidding me? Of course this is necessary. It should be meant for one time use. I lived in one story houses for decades and finally broke down for a two story house.Common sense it to have this, just in case!

I've heard great things about this. Unfortunately though, it doesn't fit my townhouse windows with a brick ledge. I guess we'll just have to jump in case of a fire

This product is hard 2 get on. from inside the house to outside the window is tricky. If u have little ones that's scared of heights, getting them 2 safely can be challenging. U wud have 2 get on ladder first and it's very wobbly cause it's not stationed onto anything. And climbing out the window is tricky if u are bigger and out of shape. But once u are on the ladder, u can safely climb down. And it's a slow process cause it's wobbly. But it will save lives. Me and my 5 yr old practiced with it and it was very hard. Even harder 2 convince her 2 climb out the window after me , even though I was still on the ladder to make sure she didn't fall. We 2 stories from the ground. Practice so it cud be easy in emergencies
