These are very sharp drill bits and they have a pilot tip but, when going through the back side of steel they grab and get stuck. I needed to drill 6 holes through truck body to mount light bar. You have to use a drill stop otherwise the bit grabs very hard and stalls or just breaks off the tip. I was only able to drill 3 holes out of the 6 I needed. Ended up using a 1/4 bit then went back to the unibit to finish the other 3 holes.

I'd like to preface this by describing my situation. In the marine industry, drilling sizable holes through thick metals isn't an uncommon occurrence. I've tried four different drill bit sets from Dewalt to fulfill my need for a bit that cuts immediately and lives on after a day's worth of constant, repeated drilling. I have looked no further after ordering the pilot point set. I can run the 1/2 bit for about 8 hours straight in a press drilling lt;50 holes through 1/8 thick galvanized steel. With cutting oil and and a lower drilling speed, I've found it very hard to destroy these bits. Their cost makes it easy for me to replace them every few months as buying individual bits is no cheaper than a set like this

The selection includes duplicates of the smaller sizes, which would be expected to be worn or broken more easily than the larger ones. I have used these bits regularly since the date of purchase and am pleased with the smoothness and ease of their performance. DeWalt has, once again, exceeded my expectations.

This 21-piece DW1361 are great drill bits at a super great price...especially when compared to the DW1369 29-piece which is almost 3X more for only 8 bits more!

Hasta ahora. Utilic el producto para realizar trabajos pequeos. Pero que requieren de gran precisin. Y hasta ahora han funcionado muy bien. Lo recomiendo.
