This is not thick at all. This would be considered thin goat skin.

The skin is nice and clean but when they said thick i was expecting something thicker than what I got but it did the job.

Stoked to have ordered from Hawkdancing Studio. I ordered 6 skins at the same time for a djembe reheading project. This was the only skin that came from Hawkdancing Studio and it is Amazing! I haven't ordered skins in many years and I was beginning to wonder if Mid_East Manufacturing has started to starve their goats! This skin was in line with what I used to order. . .decent thickness for a medium and exactly what I wanted! Yay!

The skin was extremely thin. Unfortunately my puppy tore it apart and ate it before I could use it. Would have been a great drum head though!

Learned how to soak and apply to rim using YouTube. Once I figured out how to put on, it was great. I have an 8” darbuka and got a 14” skin which was too much. Then cut it to leave an inch which was to little so 2” extra works.
