I used this in the restoration of and early 1900's Silverstone banjo. The banjo had no head so I had to replace it. The rim was deformed a small amount just due to its age so a synthetic head of a specific size wouldn't fit exactly right. I also wanted to make it sound similar to it's original sound, which would have been a skin head. I ordered this skin and it arrived on time. The size was accurate and it was nice and clean, with no fur remnants. It is a pain to get a skin on a banjo rim, but that is to be expected. After soaking the skin in warm water and working it for a bit, I did manage to get the skin on and get it to the right tightness after it dried. The banjo turned out beautiful and sounded and played well. I would recommend this for a banjo head for sure.

I used this skin to re-skin a 130 year old banjo. Worked perfectly. Sounds Great (if someone else is playing it).

I wasn't expecting a nice looking pattern but after putting a lot of work into this drum I noticed a small pin hole that had showed up after I installed it. A lot of work for nothing. Lesson learned. Be sure to look closely for tiny holes that show up much latter into your project.

Purchased this as my husband is rebuilding his great grandfather's banjo. He soaked the skin in coffee to give it its color. It turned out gorgeous. Very pleased. V

Haven't put it on my djembe yet. I have a 12 in djembe drum and got the 16 inch skin, definitely should've went with next size up it looks like it might barely be enough to fit it. Other than that will update once installed and dried
