Mission: The mission of Midcoast Humane is to make life better for the animals and people in our community.

Geographic areas served: Forty communities throughout Midcoast Maine
Programs: Midcoast Humane proudly serves nearly 4,000 animals per year, making the most of our kennel space and making sure every animal receives medical care, comfort and safe lodgings until each one finds their perfect home. MH currently holds contracts with forty towns along Maine's mid-coast, serving over 150,000 people across 1,000 square miles. In animal terms, that's over 4,000 stray, abused or abandoned cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and small animals we care for annually.
Other focuses include humane education programming to encourage children to become caring, compassionate animal care givers as well as low-cost clinics to assist pet owners in need.
