ordered 2 of these and both leaked where the main tube meets the smaller nut. Totally disassembled and fixed the misaligned screen and re-attached the water hose adapter. With these wrench tight, I was able to use pliers and hold the main tube and rotate it around some which allowed for the flared end to seat properly in the smaller nut and stop the leak. most likely, there was a bur on each flare preventing it from sealing correctly. Adjustment to the water depth was extremely easy and the bowl doesn't over fill and the birds have clean water without us having to refill them daily. If the bowl gets dirty, its easy to dump out or remove for better cleaning without turning water off. I would recommend and will buy again.

I give it stars because I have tried so many other automatic waters and I always come back to this one. I do recommend buying a valve changer kit as someone else stated. It is worth buying the 2 items together. Thanks Taylor for your review!!

These are so easy to use. You do have to make some adjustments for the filling mechanism but once it is set perfection. I have tried multiple different watering systems and this is now my favorite.

Have been using this waterer for a couple years. Works great. When it was new the nut inside would work it's way down from vibrations of the chickens shacking the waterer making it not shut off when full. Just make sure the nuts are tight and it works great.

It works great, only word of caution, it will take some time to adjust it so it fills up and doesn't overflow. Once you get that figured out, works great.

I like automatic watering devices, so I know my chickens are never at a loss for H2O. My only issue is the dish is red in color. They used to make this in green, which blends into the landscape better. Please make it in GREEN or BROWN. The chickens will find it.The waterer does need replacing every 5-10 yrs because the older parts slide with more difficulty, to remove for cleaning.

It's honestly about time someone came up with a design that works. Gravity fed waterers are for wannabes, this thing is magnificent and works perfectly for however many birds you have. Mine did come with the schrader core a bit loose so it overflowed until I tightened it a half turn with my fingers. Ingenious design, they can't roost on it and so easy to clean.

It fills the bowl but after many tries could not get it to shut off. Bought this one because the last one would not turn on. The first one I had worked for a long time but the last two have not. I need it to water my chickens when I am gone all day. Chickens drink a lot of water. This will be the last one of these I buy.

With the drought conditions and heat this waterer has been a lifesaver. It keeps continuous water supply available to my chickens without having to worry about them spilling or running out. They need a constant water supply in this heat and this does the trick.

This works awesome for chickens. If u have ducks save ur money unless u wanna clean it everyday. The ducks will fill it with dirt and because it works by weight it won't let anymore water into it.

This automatic waterer is perfect for my backyard chickens. It is a very well thought out design and is quite sturdily made. The installation was quick and simple, and the bowl is very easy to keep clean. Upon initial instillation, mine leaked a little bit so I emailed customer service and they got back to me right away. It turned out that the water control valve simply needed to be tightened a little bit. The valve is a standard Schroeder valve and will be easy to replace if it ever becomes necessary.I expect this product to last for many years. I highly recommend this waterer.

I bought this device to use as a dog waterer for my outside dogs. It is a source of constant fresh cool water for the dogs. It works well but had to be adapted to fit directly to a hydrant.
