Disliked that I had to but a separate, pricey hose adapter to use a standard water hose.

I have had chickens for 10 years now. I hated filling up there water. I live in Florida and with our heat, my girls have to have water at all times. I have bought every type of waterer and even made some DIY ones. I hate them all. I have well water so everything turns green at some point. This thing is a life saver. Yes it overflowed at first but I turned and adjusted the thingy on the inside and now we are golden. Happy hens. Happy me. One less thing for me to do.

Hard to adjust. You either have no water or to much. But if you get it working it's nice

Works great. We attached to a 30 gallon water barrel and no longer worry the chickens will run out of water during the hot summer months.

Works great! Tip...if you try to adjust the water to your desired level, make sure the bowl is empty and allowed to start fresh after each adjustment. This should stop the problem with it overflowing. I figured it our pretty quickly, but it would have been nice if someone had already written this for me.

This is the second one I've purchased, I love these things!I hang mine from 3/8 plastic tubing with a garden hose adapter at the drinker to make it easier to handle when cleaning out and such, but just hanging it from a garden hose works fine.

We had been using the standard standing waterer, but my wife wants a waterer with a larger capacity.Tried the chicken waterer nipples, the first brand leaked, the 2nd brand higher quality, no leaks but the chickens couldn't seem to figure it out, cute but not the smartest birds.Anyway, this waterer works great, and provides a visual that water is available in the coop.Be sure to get the cover so the water in the bowl stays clean. With an elevated 5 gallon bucket as the reservoir, there is enough water pressure for the bowl to refill itself.

Very easy to use and clean. Make sure you filter your water - it has a small screen to catch debris which can clog up resulting in no water. Once I added a small filter to my setup, it has been dead-set reliable. I like that it can also use schrader replacement valves.

Saves time / hassle hauling water to the coop in the non-winter months. I used two of these on some 1/2 pipe. Game changer!

Bought this because I've had one before and it worked pretty good. This one was fine until we put the chickens in the coop....now it just leaks and overflows....never stops. Cant return it because my window has passed.....

This is very good to keep fresh water to the birds without having to refill all the time.

I bought mine in the '90s for my backyard flock. It worked without issue all these years but finally gave up this spring, so I rebuilt it. It's extremely easy to work on, a kid could do it. This consisted of replacing two parts: the fill valve and the fine brass screen in the bottom of the 1/2 NPT supply port (Miller Mfg. part s 2506 2510) both of which are readily available and CHEAP (less than three bucks for the set). The old screen had clogged with sediment and the fill valve fell apart from corrosion, but those are the only two failure prone components. Everything else is basically failure proof. Now it's back to working like new again after 25 years of total neglect. Such a great design. I also called Miller's customer support line to inquire about other parts and they answered promptly and were super friendly and honest, old time Midwest salt of the earth.I recommend the genuine Miller Mfg. parts because their tire type fill valve is actually made for WATER service, not air, and the supply screen is an odd size-- not sure a pipe screen would work, but maybe. Besides, I'm happy to throw them a few bucks to help them out and keep their great products on the market. My poultry fount is mounted outside, so cleaning it is a cinch too: just pray the bowl out with a stream from a garden hose, no need to dismount it. It dismounts easily but is less easy to put back.
