Dog food dispenser

At first we were not sure about this. Ours dogs could not figure out how to push open the door so we propped open the door with a magnet and it works great. The only thing that would make this better if the food dropped until the tray was full. We are buying another one.

Isn't really tight seal

Would have given five stars but was damaged at the top (it was bent) and do not get an airtight product. Otherwise, I love the concept.

This is a good product. I buy 50 lb. bags of food for my 70 lb. Labrador. I load it once and forget about it for a couple of weeks. It arrived in perfect shape, and after a 3 day hunger strike my dog succumbed and got on with it. I spray bug spray around it so there are no bugs or ants, and keep it under the porch awning. It's all much easier than wrestling a 50 lb. bag of dog food every few days into a dirty plastic feeder.

Its a fairly solid cabinet. I attached an automatic watering bowl to the side. My son lives next door. So, I will hang on my fence to feed my son's two big dogs when he is on shift.It arrived with a retaining clip missing. Found it in the bottom of the feeder. Bought some push on axle clips to use. They work well and cover the rods protruding from the side (they are hinges for the lid and feed door0.

This dog feeder arrived bent. Not surprised. It is made of pretty thin material. Says it is unreturnable. How would you know that ahead of ordering it?

We bought A 50 pound version About 3-4 years ago the top cover didnt fit well but it did the job with five puggles we moved and took it to my sons for a bit he loved it so we gave it to him and got another one this time the cover fits perfectly and we can still go on one week to two week vacations. The 50 pounds for three puggles last long and our puggles never eat til they roll over lol if you start them with always food around they dont keep eating its a myth we never have problems with them over eating at all. I recommend this for people with two or more dogs it's pricey but worth it you dont have to keep filling up a bowl. In the beginning one of our pugs was scared to stick his head in to get food because its heavier than a doggy door because of the metal but eventually he followed the other two pugs and got the hang of it.

Some dogs are scared to push the door open to get to the food. Our Saint Bernard will not use it. For days I propped the feeding door open and put steak inside and she still wouldn't eat. I put the same food in a bowl, and she chows down. I think the designers of this product could take some lessons from Dr. Temple Grandin on Applied Animal Ethnology and re-engineer a more thoughtful product.

As I stated prior, the feeder was dented on the side which prevented the access door from opening properly. There was a rivet missing off one of the rods. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone else!

No dislikes

This works well for my large dogs, but when it arrived, it had several dents. We worked on it to get it back in shape so we could open the top. Packaging definitely needs to be improved.

2 days after I put it in the yard, it rained cats and dogs (sideways). I just knew that there would be water in the bottom since the flap moves inward to the food. I was absolutely wrong. It was bone dry. My dog's a bit of a dummy (bless his heart), so to get him trained/used to it, I put his normal food bowl in the feeding area (empty of course) so that he would associate the feeder with food/eating. It took a few days of this training, but he finally got the hint. Definitely glad we got it.

I love this new feeder for my dog. It's nice because she is a large breed that grazes but doesn't over eat so I can stick a whole bag of dog food in there instead of remembering to fill her bowl every day.It is thin and light weight. This isn't an issue for me because I'm only using it inside and don't plan on moving it much. I found it useful actually because it was easy to unpack and move into place.I have 2 issues with this product. One is that there is no way to keep the feeding flap open if you wanted it. My 75 lb puppy (yep she's still a puppy and no she is not done growing) will not nudge thing open. She will stand at a doorway and wait to be let in if the door isn't open wide enough. I thought maybe if food was the incentive she would Learn but no success. I ended up duct taping it open. But this isn't really a product complaint as much as weird pet complaint.The real issue is the lid. There is a long pin that acts as a hinge but doesn't stay in place when I'm refilling the feeder and the lid always falls off. I may have to take some time and rig it so that it stays in place more securely

The space between where the food slowly comes out gets jammed all the time and my beautiful baby digs and digs at it but I need to go out with a stick to unclog it p.s. mine came broken and I had to hot glue the rail in place for the lid if I didn't have giant breed dogs this wouldn't be an issue at all but because I do I regret buying this truthfully
