I am using on prysmian, corning, and commscope, for 24ct and 48ct for midspans.I use it for slitting, but for ringing I use the jonard or Miller ring cutting tool.Intial setting and adjustment had to be made for depth, but it has held true to adjustment for months.I don't have it set deep enough to cut through the armor sheathing, but I slit the outer jacket,which allows me to either remove it,or leave it, (to just run my strings through without them having to cut the jacket)either way it prevents my rip-strings from breaking every five seconds when the fiber is cold lol.

Actually did what was expected. Strips outer sheathing of cable without cutting multi wires inside. Co workers uses and ordered their own the same day. I will definitely order another for home use.

Recently I had 11 mid span locations on a 144 armored fiber cable. The cable was old, and the rip cords were useless. They would break after an inch or less. The first location took me 1.5 hours just to remove the sheath with a utility knife! Then I got one of these. It took some some time to figure out the right blade depth, but once I had that right I was removing sheath and armor in 5-10 minutes! After 10 locations of very tough sheath and armor, I'm still using the first blade. I don't know how I would have done this job without it.

Works great! I stripped probably 500 ft of different wires sizes ranging from 10 to 1/0 and it's still going strong

Great value compared to tools that can cost hundreds. Would be really great if there was a way to fasten it into position with more pressure. When you clamp it down it's a struggle to keep it tight enough while tightening. Due to sensitive adjustments it can be a pain to get tight while adjusted perfectly.
