Very loud and compact, too bad I live in an apartment now, gotta keep it on the down low since I don't want to rock my neighbors out. Also useful for playing phone audio with games and such, drumming apps sound amazing through this unit. Downside is the high price, but that makes me feel special since no one around me has one. yay

I purchased this radio about a year ago through home depot. Man is it awesome, in my opinion it is worth every penny. What initially made me get this radio is the built in blue tooth feature. But the sound quality on this radio is amazing, the AM/FM reception is awesome. I have had it on a job site where we had a Dewalt radio as well, the Dewalt picked up way more static then this thing did. This radio also lasts longer running off a battery pack then the Dewalt radio does.

Another thing I love about this radio is it doesn't get the interference static sound that some do if you are listening to the AM/FM while charging battery packs.

Almost a perfect radio. The bluetooth feature was the main reason why I upgraded to this radio but it's the only flaw I was disappointed on. Bluetooth signal cuts off while playing music within 15 feet or less or it just silents music completely leaving no sound out of the speakers while playing music. Very disappointing since I expected great quality as they advertise on the bluetooth. I love milwaukee tools and I love the radio regardless because of its looks and sounds great. Please milwaukee fix it it was almost a perfect radio.

The radio is loud and has clear powerful sound. It's a portable sound system with durablilty for the job site. It runs off battery or 110v. I think the price is about right for this radio, $200 bucks, don't pay more than that. It comes with a warranty but I'm hoping it never breaks due to design issues.

Kind of heavy, I didn't expect this thing to weigh 20 lbs. hopefully that means its heavy duty.

I bought this as a replacement for the older version I had borrowed from a friend for work. I only ever use it at half volume or else risk ****ing off the entire warehouse. Everything feels high quality and looks amazing. This truly is a grand device. It has amazing sound quality, and an impressive range for the Bluetooth. A XC4 battery lasts the whole night, twice.

Final judgement: Worth every penny.

First off, I love this radio. I fly southwest so that I can check a bag... and that bag only has this radio in it. No joke. However, it still has some issues.

The bluetooth function is great.

The fact that it has perfect power sharing is AMAZING. If you're charging a battery and then unplug the cord, there's seamless playback.

The bottle opener actually works without spilling your beer (UNLIKE the $120 version)

You CAN plug a regular aux cable and USB in simultaneously (UNLIKE the $120 version)

I have only used the full volume on this thing for a few minutes at a time... its just too loud.

and as for sturdiness, as I said before - its flown as a checked bag and remained unharmed.

My only complaints: getting my big hands into the device well to plug in cables is a hard, and by laptops (three different manufacturers) can't ever find it on bluetooth.

For how much it costs and how heavy it is, I was really dissapointed with how loud it was not. I have a small Bose I got as a gift that is tiny also cost 200 bucks and it is almost as loud as this giant box. I liked the idea of having another battery charging port but that and Bluetooth don't make up for the sound quality. I wanted more sound!!! If it weighs almost as much as my preamp to my house stereo it should get as loud as that or close at least. Oh and does anyone know why there are two aaa batteries in the box never saw where those went and I don't have time to read the book.

Bought this radio to put on my shaded patio and so far it works great and has no issues with mild weather elements. The sound is great, even at half volume it is very loud and has no distortion.

I believe Milwaukee is heading in the right direction with this radio. I like the fact that it has bluetooth, and will charge your m18 batteries. I just think they need to change a few issues with the radio for what the thing cost...

1. Built in 3way GFCI
Working outside on a job site with power cords everywhere, it would be nice to have the option of just plugging the radio in and running whatever you want off the radio (extra chargers, Saws, Extension cords
2. Waterproof lid opens easy
3. Phone doesn't fit inside
So the waterproof lip that protects your electronics opens up very easy, the latch does not lock well. This leads me to believe my electronics are not protected from water or a fall. Also the compartment is too small to fit phones and phones w/ cases.
4.Bluetooth
Working on staging it would be nice to be able to switch to bluetooth without having to get down and physically press the button and then set it up.
Also walking around a job site, 100ft comes and goes pretty quick. It would be nice if once out of range it switch to a radio station preset instead of disconnecting and going blank every time you step out of range.
5. No shock prevention
It claims to be durable, and stand up to job site conditions, but the roll cage system shape, is all hard plastic with no give. I could picture it cracking during a fall. It needs better shock protection in my opinion, especially with the technology and equipment it contains.

These are the things I noticed and would like to see at least some (if not all) changed. I've included some pictures of my attempts to make it more functional around the site. They work great but I think for the money I paid, I would rather just wait and see how the next generations design turns out.

Accessories I Recommend
3 way gfci (zip tied it to the radio handles)
micro usb, iphone and ipod 3 way to usb (Bought at Lowes)

Why can't the M12 and M28 system batteries be incorporated? Disappointing.
