Mission: Our mission is to end the suffering and death of minnesota cats and dogs due to overpopulation by providing both high-quality, affordable and accessible spay and neuter services to those in need and animal welfare education in the communities we serve. Using a conservative litter estimate and considering only mn snap's female patients, the organization has prevented the birth of more than 4.5 million unwanted pets and saved low-income families more than $17.5 million in veterinary care costs. We partner with numerous rescues, foundations, and individuals to provide additional funding subsidies for needed spay and neuter services.

Programs: Spay and neuter surgery - from april 2010 through the end of june 2017, mn snap completed 99,248 spay/neuter surgeries for the pets of low-income families, 501(c)(3) rescue organizations and shelters. Mn snap's mission is to end the suffering and death of minnesota cats and dogs due to overpopulation by providing both high-quality, affordable and accessible spay and neuter services to those in need and animal welfare education in the communities we serve. Mn snap's mission is accomplished via a mobile surgery clinic that enables teams of highly qualified veterinarians and veterinary technicians to perform on-site surgeries and vaccinations for dogs, cats and rabbits. Surgeries not performed in the mobile clinic are performed at mn snap's headquarters in north minneapolis. Mn snap participants must qualify for services in one of the following three ways: proof of participation in a needs-based public assistance program, a copy of the most recent tax return; or as a caretaker of feral or free-roaming cats. From july 1,2016 to june 30,2017, mn snap provided 16,442 subsidized surgeries for the pets of low-income families, 501(c)(3) rescues and shelters.
