Has O-ring type seal...this is a factory oil filter. Remember to burp the engine or oil will not flow thru the filter and your oil light will stay on. To burp it..just start it for a few seconds after oil change is complete..shut it off...then unscrew the filter until oil comes out..then re-tighten. When you restart the bike the oil light will go right out...Would buy again.

Perfect fit to replace the old Kawasaki 16097-0004 oil filter that was on my 99 Prairie 300 4x4. Price point wasn't too bad either for being an OEM part.

I always try to use OEM filters when doing oild changes on my motorcycle. I have an 05 Kawasaki ZX12R and this filter has a true fit. The o-ring mates to the motor without leaks. The flow rate through the filter is appropriate. Trouble free filter in my experience. If you Kawasaki calls for this filter you can purchase this filter with confidence.
