Mission: A family for every child in our lifetime. For the past 20 years, Miracle Foundation has improved the lives of more than 15,000 children and impacted nearly 300 orphanages. Today, we are an industry leader in family-based care, helping to reunite orphaned children with families, and working at the local level to keep children from entering the system. We utilize the power of data to create real, sustainable change. Our proven Thrive Scale™ methodology is based on the UN Rights of the Child and allows us to systematically measure and improve all aspects of a child’s well-being, both in an orphanage setting and as they transition to a family. In addition, our leading-edge FosterShare™ app offers a revolutionary and welcome change to the US foster care system, helping children avoid the painful process of being moved from home to home.
Results: ∙ 20,000+ children’s lives directly improved∙ 3,282 social workers, caregivers and government officials trained on standards of care and family-based care, impacting the lives of more than 164,100 children∙ 1,431 of children we support are reunited with families∙ 900 families supported through our FosterShare™ App∙ 100% of children we work with are in school

Programs: Our work in the past was grounded in helping orphans to have a better quality of life but has evolved to ensure that every child has an opportunity to grow up in a family. In order to achieve this, we have three initiatives: (1)Prevent children from entering the system. Every day around the world, social workers, caregivers and government officials make decisions that impact millions of vulnerable children. Along with UNICEF and other partners, we provide highly specialized training and educational resources for these “boots on the ground” workers in the childcare ecosystem. Through this collaboration, Miracle Foundation has trained 2300+ government officials and caregivers and activated community and youth led initiatives. All of this outreach works to identify and support at-risk children and vulnerable families long before formal interventions become a necessity. This is the future. This is how we break the cycle. (2)Transition children from orphanages into families. After years of supporting children in orphanages, we now focus on helping children transition from orphanage care to family-based care. To facilitate this, we’ve adapted our Thrive Scale™ to measure and activate a child’s rights after they return home. Part of this work also involves encouraging orphanage buy-in on the concept of family reunification. (3)Connect the US Foster Care System. Miracle Foundation is applying our expertise in data collection and ground-breaking technology to the US foster care system. With the introduction of our FosterShare™ app, we are simplifying reporting and connecting community services to foster families. By linking agencies, experts and education to an easy-t0-use app, we are creating greater stability and preventing the traumatic negative impacts on children when they are moved from foster home to foster home.
