Results: My volunteers and I have brutally lifted 381,000 lbs. of food by hand, four to five times to feed 44,700 people since starting the food pantry five years ago. We have been operating the food pantry, in an 8ft. x 64ft closet. Hundreds of people have stood in the rain, mud, snow and hot sun, under extreme conditions while waiting to be served. But a change has to come. The “closet” must be expanded, to meet the demand of feeding over 3000 people monthly. HELP us to help others. WE need YOU!At Miracle Island Unlimited, we are currently working on the next project that includes a 3 step plan, and is listed in detail in our mission statement letter. Step one: Need a Box truck and freezer box truck, and two freezer/fridge storage units of at least 20 ft. has to happen for the increasing amount of food and families to be fed. In 2018 - 160,000 lbs were lifted by hand four to five times and the box trucks will greatly lessen this problem. Step two: Expand the food pantry closet to a large room of 22 ft. x 64 ft. Step three: Build a large shed onto the Gospel Shed, for the hundreds of people to stand or sit, out of the weather and for general purposes to keep the island operating. Change has to come. In order to make a difference, Miracle Island Unlimited rely on the support of generous individuals and businesses in our community, but realized that we need to reach further out for help.
