Much better than the Plastic model one notch below this one. Pulls Vaccum or builds Pressure with the flip of a switch. Comes with nice assortment of accessories.

This thing is an absolute piece of garbage and under no circumstances should anyone ever buy it. It arrived with a defective drain container that would not hold vacuum pressure. I might have been willing to go out and buy another one -- they don't last forever after all -- but the way the handle is attached to the device is through a tiny little pin that works itself lose. After about 10 pumps it fell out and flew away never to be seen. DO NOT BUY. Again, DO NOT BUY. Garbage product.

This is a great item that can be used for a number of automotive and household applications. I mainly used it to bleed the brakes, and I was able to extract all the dirty brake fluid. The item performs better than its plastic counterpart sold in the auto parts stores. It also comes in its own box with numerous adapters, hoses, and instructions manual. When bleeding the brakes, the item builds the vacuum and is able to extract the fluid. However, air bubbles will also enter the line if the tubing is not sealed at the bleeder valve. This is not due to item malfunction or defect. The pump works as intended, and its usage is beneficial when siphoning fluids and doing vacuum leak tests. It looks durable and appears to be made for professional use.

First, very fast order fulfillment...ordered late Thursday--Delivered early Monday a.m. so far...love it! I tried it today right after work to pressure test a carburetor on a two stroke blower. Everyone told me it needed a carb rebuild--which would have cost around $20.00 for this model. I was able to determine in about 5 minutes that the check valve had failed--and that a rebuild would have been a waste of time. All the fittings you will likely need are already in the box--including (Miraculously) the one I actually needed. Manual was excellent and really illustrates everything you can do. If you're serious about actually working on IC engines--this is essential! I am going to try bleeding VW brakes tomorrow...
