I have used it for pressure 1 time and the vacuum 1 time. No funny business with it. Squeeze and watch the gauge and hose. I have had 2 others that fell apart after 2-4 uses, this one looks and feels heavy enough material to last. Get the right adapter elsewhere for what you need and move on to the next problem. Can't do go work without dependable tools!

Perfect tool for checking vacuum or leaks. One tool that can do two things (vacuum or pressurize) with a simple button (push) adjustment. It's metal so it's durable than the plastic ones.

I like this unit because it is so sturdy. Made of cast Aluminum feels like it will last for ever. At least I can hand it down to my son and he can hand it down to his. I take care of my tools and I know this gum will last a long time. I have used it to bleed my brake system and also to change the fluid in my Power steering system. The parts that were supplied allow for a variety of uses. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

I was able to draw all fluid using the vacuuming method, but it was not as easy as I had anticipated. This is my first time trying this method, so it may in part be due to a learning curve? The first step should always be to suction all old fluid out of the reservoir and replenish with fresh fluid. As long as you don't press the brake pedal, you can remove as much as possible with no concerns over air working its way into the system. For the procedure at the calipers, I believe in all cases some air will work its way into suctioning hose due to a loose bleeder screw, or due to the adapter (no matter which adapter you use). This air leak is no big deal from the standpoint of air working its way into the system since it is simply at the connection point, however, due to the leak I had to continuously actuate the pump to sustain the vacuum. Once you finish suctioning fluid out and have removed the adapter, you should wait for some fluid to drip out of the bleeder screw before tightening it this is to make sure no air work works its way into the system. So in my case, the tool does work as intended. It helps to watch YouTube videos on how to use this tool for brake fluid change jobs (the Car Care Nut has a good one). Obviously, it really seems like the best vacuuming process is using compressed air and getting the MV6835 ($183) kit instead; but for this you'll need a compressor rated at least 4.3 cfm 90 psi. If you have a compressor that meets this specification, I would recommend this method instead.

This is a good pump overall.Pros:1) Durable construction2) Easy-to-turn valve to switch from suction to expulsion3) I've been able to achieve a 25 inHg vacuum -- pretty good for a hand pump alone4) Easy to use5) Built-in gauge works great and seems accurate6) Built-in pressure release lever is a nice feature7) Clear rubber hose includedCons:1) Hand pump is not ideal for moving large volumes of air (recommend electric pump instead)2) Handle appears ergonomic, but you will likely feel it after a lot of pumping

Nice hard case, better than my previous cardboard sleeve. Old Mityvac was made with plastic and lasted 40 years with light use before a piece of the plastic failed, yielding it out of service and beyond repair. A quick hand test of the new unit makes me think it will do just as well, and being metal in construction, will be durable.

This kit has bleed lots of brake systems!Purchased in 2014 still have it in 2022, That's right it even survived COVID-19.The kit comes with lots of pieces/adapters to make it work in any application. Only thing you may need to do is cut the hose line shorter if it starts to kink at the top of suction port. Had to do recently, but that's on an 8 year old hose line. Highly recommend, great suction!

This is the perfect tool for usage on any sized nipple you can find. Good for bleeding brakes, clutch lines, and just regular nipples if needed.

Very nice mighty vac. Definitely an upgrade from my plastic one.My only dislike is the placement of the relief lever. It is large and easy to trigger accidentally.
