The axe was tied to the packaging with twine and the packaging was all bent up. Part of the paint on the corner of the ace was already chipped off. This was a birthday gift for my kid and I didn't open the box until it was too late. It's cheap but it's the principle. You buy something new- I expect it to be new. There are used items for sale online.

Our 6 year old son loves this. This is for mining apparently according to mine craft. My son has destroyed our palm trees with this and it's still intact with only some paint chipped. We will reassess the mining situation, but product is very durable.
