Filter came with a plastic tube inside roll ? NO instructions to remove it or not ? So tested both ways and it works both ways ? One difference thou....when I opened chamber after running it with plastic tube, their was oil and water on the walls of chamber and running it without plastic tube none . Great filter ...but I asked other buyers and thanks for replying...everyone is using it with plastic tube, I think air flow should be going thur filter not around it. So my two cents, I'm using it without plastic tube. Manufacturer should include a manual how to install and best maintain. Again great filter, absolutely no moisture going in my plasma cutter. Thank you

This works very well to remove water from the air supply, but I have found that a roll of toilet paper works.

Funny, element looks like a roll of toilet paper. It is a very tight roll and has the ability to absorb a lot of moisture. I have used it now for about 6 months now and not one drop of water has left the filter(that I know of). One thing is if I am not going to use my air for a few days I open the canister and let it dry out. It seems some people have had trouble with white corrosion developing in the aluminum housing.
