This is a good choice if you're looking for a freeze-dried breakfast meal. There are plenty of biscuit and sausage pieces within the gravy and they all taste good. There is some pepper seasoning throughout but some may want to add hot sauce, more pepper, etc. to spice it up a bit.Keep in mind that it is on the richer/heavier side so keep that in mind for hiking/camping. I sometimes eat this for dinner as it is quite heavy for me.

This was easy to make and eat, tasted pretty good. It was nice having some comfort food for breakfast when roughing it camping.

Mountain House brand is one of if not the top brand for all around good freeze dried meals. This is a great one and a welcome change over egg based freeze dried means or instant oatmeal.

This meal is great for backpacking. Light weight, and great for storage. Works well even in situations when water could not be heated up.

Biscuits n gravy and chicken n dumplings are my favorite mountain house meals. I eat them while backpacking. Does the biscuit n gravy taste like home made? No. But they have good bread feel with varying levels of crunch vs wet as well as comfort food flavor. I take at least one pack on every backpack trip. Obviously this is very subjective.

This was really good and actually tasted like biscuits and gravy. This "biscuits" are cut up into cubes but the flavor is really good. Highly recommend for camping or emergency food supply.

Biscuits and gravy was the first mountain house I had tried and it came as a recommendation from my brother. It is definitely one of my favorites for breakfast. It is easy to make and easy to take with you places. My brother and his family use this when they are camping. I like to use them when I go to races and were staying in a motorhome or hotel.
