Gasket Material; Ultra Seal; Steel Core With Graphite Facing; 10 Inch Length X 10 Inch Width X 1/16 Inch Thick; Used To Make Exhaust Gaskets
Manufactured from high temperature steel core/graphite faced exhaust material. Expanded steel core provides stability and maximum Torque retention to eliminate gasket failure. Graphite facing provides excellent heat resistance and thermal conductivity to transfer heat away from the cylinder head. Conforms to and seals minor surface irregularities, high recovery material allows header or manifold flange to stay sealed if flange loses correct clamp load. Can be trimmed if necessary for modified port applications. For OE replacement, high performance street, drag race and oval track.

This is some tough stuff with a metal mesh middle layer and handles the job quite well. Tip: Get some hole punches to make the holes easier to make, Use the manifold to make a print and whittle it out with aviation snips and the hole punches, nipping around the big hole with a punch and scrap of wood worked well.

I've read reviews. Yes it can be brittle. The first gasket I made didn't work so well. Patience is the key don't rush take your time. Punch set works pretty decent. You still need to cut a little. Outside real easy just use a good set of scissors. Give yourself some room from the edges of gasket material. Like a 1/4 away. If you don't when punching holes the gasket material will just crumble at edge of paper.
