I use this for RV heat and have it available for emergency house heating. It is well designed and works as advertised. I do have the optional filter and hose to run it off a 20lb lp tank. Using the optional filter is critical to keeping this heater functioning properly, so I would recommend Mr Buddy just build and provide one right on the heater.

Awesome tool! If you like winter camping I highly recommend treating urself to one of these. Gives off an incredible amount of heat. I can't even use it on high inside my rooftop tent. Too damn hot. Runs about 6-7 hours on low with a 1 pound tank. Even on low I had to get out of my sleeping bag and I was in my underwear when it was 28 degrees outside. Gives me peace of mind that I can explore places in lower temperature without fear of getting too cold.

Bought this for a backup heat source is case of power outage or a furnace malfunction. Puts out good heat. Also bought the conversion hose that allows you to run this heater or any other device that uses one pound bottles off a 20 pound bottle.Its good to be prepared.

I liked this product because the heater it replaced was about tp fail. It lit quickl and I didn't have to wait and hope the pilot light didn't turn off like the previous one. What I don't like about it is the propane bottle is exposed.

Wanted a small unit for use during power outage.Like it uses small canister. ( Will last 3-4 hrs. )Already had the adapter to hook up my BBQ cylinder if power will be out for a longer amount of time.You can feel the heat radiating from the unit with no exhaust smell. Unit didn't set off our carbon monoxide senser overnight.

I bought this as an emergency backup case of a power outage during some recent nasty and cold weather. I ended up testing it out and using it as supplemental heat at night connected to a 20lb cylinder with a hose and inline filter.The heater works great and generates a warm radiant heat. I am sure the fact that the clean combustion of hydrocarbons generates water vapor helped with that warm feeling as moist air feels warmer, especially on a cold winter day when the humidity is typically very low.My place is about 1200 square feet with high ceilings. I left the bedroom door open to make sure there was fresh air for combustion. OF course it isn't rated for a space this large but served as a supplemental heat source and worked quite well.I only have one complaint and this is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5. The heater burns hotter and cleaner on high. I have run this test twice with the same results. If I run on high in my bedroom with the door open, there is no smell and the air seems cleaner. On low, I notice more of a smell, the air doesn't seem fresh, and I woke up feeling kinda puny and with a stopped up nose from being near this thing. I especially notice this smell if I walk outside and then back in. There is not even a hint of this on high. I feel that this might be due to the hotter temps encouraging more complete combustion when burned on high.My only other complaint might be that the range of temps is not continuously variable like a gas grill or stove burner. I suspect this might be so the heater is calibrated to burn as clean as possible on the two settings after my experience on low.All in all, this is a great source of heat and great it burns so clean it can be unvented indoors. It generates PLENTY of heat so I would want to run on low if in a smaller space. My only fear is that it doesn't seem to burn as clean on low so it might be best to open a door/window some in these situations or do the same and run on high.

So bought this because the wife likes to be warm. We do use this inside the house where my wife likes to sit near the windows I the sun room. The sunroom is 20x 10 with ten windows so even though we have a heat pump system for the house this adds a little to take the chill off. This heater is designed for an open area and does require ventilation.Now this is also a great heater for our garage and also the patio. I have a bunch of the small tanks that I can refill and the tanks last about 6 hours of low heat.
