Mission: The Mission of Music Sweet Music is to contract board certified music therapists and provide children and adults with illnesses, diseases and disorders Music Therapy sessions and the special musical instruments used in Music Therapy. The ultimate goal is to support skill development in areas such as communication, academic learning, daily living skills, motor functioning, social skills, behavior, and mental health. These are common goal areas of students with diagnoses such as autism, neurologic impairments, orthopedic impairments, and other disabilities.

Results: MSM, Inc. is funding and providing music therapy programs at John Hopkins' All Children's Hospital Outpatient Speech Language and Pathology Department in St. Petersburg, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, the Shriner's Children Hospital in Tampa, PARC Cottages in St. Petersburg, our MSM Music Therapy room and also in patient's homes.

Target demographics: MSM, Inc. provides instruments and music therapy to treat children with illnesses, diseases and disorders. Music therapy is used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and the social needs in individuals. Music Therapy supports its effectiveness in many areas such as: overall physical rehabilitation and facilitating movement, increasing motivation to become engaged in treatment, providing emotional support and providing an outlet for expression of feelings.

Direct beneficiaries per year: MSM has over 1,500 music therapy sessions with hospitalized kids, outpatient children and adults annually.

Programs: In hospital visits, outpatient clinics, in-office music therapy studio, and home visitations.
