I purchased the 3rd gen device to replace an older generation dot. I like the overall more premium look with the cloth and slightly rounded design. Voice recognition seems to have been improved and sound quality is definitely better. I use the dot devices in 'secondary' rooms like office, guest room, etc. I like the higher quality audio from the larger devices in living room and the show in the kitchen. Overall, I would definitely recommend the echo ecosystem as a voice assistant.

It is working out great so far. I loved how easy it was to setup. Having it on my nightstand is a plus to help when i need to add things to my lists. Now I don't have to go to my kitchen just to add things I need!

It overall works the way that it is supposed to. However, it wont hook up to my Sony sound bar. It's a small inconvenience so I'm not too pressed about it.

I have a large house so i have 5 of them strategically placed to allow for movement and still be able to listen to my programs uninterrupted.My 92 yr old Aunt so she can listen to dodger games... Go dodgers

I mainly have been using mine too play music but I was able to connect it to my tv and it's made my life so much easier. Having MS RA often makes using my hands very painful so having Alexa do little things is a tremendous help!
