Mission: The New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation (NOMAF) expands the services of the New Orleans Musicians Clinic (NOMC) and its mission to keep New Orleans music ALIVE by sustaining New Orleans’ traditional music cultures. We do this by providing cost-efficient access to comprehensive, wellness education and preventive health care, mental health and social services. Regardless of the patients’ ability to pay, NOMC is the medical home for more than 2,500 local musicians and tradition bearers.
Target demographics: musicians, tradition bearers, and others who contribute to the thriving local culture and tourism industry
Geographic areas served: New Orleans
Programs: Comprehensive and occupational health care, preventive care, health education, networked care, and mental health and social services. For a small co-pay, patients receive full access to an extensive specialty care network, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.
