Bought it as a gift for my 6 year old and 4 year old neice for 34;something to do34;. TWO THUMBS UP! The kids called me while pounding/chipping away, couldn't wait to get to the T Rex.. For the money, you can't go wrong.

Got this for our 4 year old God son on his birthday. It was kind of messy but I put it into an old cake pan before we let him hammer it. He loved it. I would buy this again or something similar to it.

My nephew is in to dinosaurs. And when I say “in to,” I mean “obsessed.” He’s 3 and knows waaaayyyy more about dinosaurs than I ever will. He knows the dinosaur alphabet, he knows at least those 26 species at first sight and can tell me about what they are like (ie. what they eat, how big they get, any standout or scary feature). Being high-energy and 3, I was worried that this and the other kit I bought him would be too much or too boring... but he went right to work and was determined to dig all the stuff up! His parents have already invested in a few more!

We bought this for our 4.5 year old daughter who loves dinosaurs. She was super into it. She, my husband, and I took about an hour to dig the dino out and another 15 minutes or so to clean it up and put the pieces together. I thought it would take much longer to dig out but honestly she probably would have lost interest if it had. She loved using the brush to clean off the pieces but preferred having mom and dad do the hammering. It was pretty cool to see the fossils emerge and my daughter's amazed and excited reaction was priceless. The pieces fit together snugly (I did have to use a little nail and nail clippers to adjust some of the attachment pegs and holes) and now my daughter is having a blast playing with her t-Rex skeleton.
