Mission: With the goal of creating a society in which everyone has the freedom and ability to control their reproductive and sexual lives, the National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) works to protect and advance equitable access to reproductive health care, particularly abortion, using an approach that is focused on state and local policies and rooted in partnerships with local advocates and leaders.

NIRH brings to this work a decades-long track record of successful partnerships with state and local advocates to secure a range of policy changes; strengthen the capacity of advocates on the ground; build strong, broad-based coalitions; and create research-based messaging and tools designed to motivate policymakers and the public to act.

National Institute for Reproductive Health is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1980, and donations are tax-deductible.
