Mission: The national performance network is a group of diverse cultural organizers, including artists, working to create meaningful partnerships and to provide leadership that enables the practice and public experience of the arts in the united states.

Programs: The residency program directly fosters community engagement by subsidizing long-term residencies with performing and visual artists with npn partner organizations. Artists are paid to publicly present their work and engage in community activities in a wide variety of venues, such as schools, prisons, and community centers.

the creation & development fund supports the creation, development and touring of new artistic projects around the u. S. The fund provides a framework for relationships among diverse artists, presenters and community audiences to develop over time.

npn's local program is committed to sharing its resources with its home community, particularly smaller arts organizations and artists in new orleans. Direct support is available through a local network of participating projects and fiscal sponsorship offering peer-to-peer exchange, technical assistance, financial management, capacity building, and resource development. Npn's network is nurtured by bringing presenters, artist and other stakeholders together at its annual conference and mid-year meetings. Opportunities are provided for building and strengthening long-term relationships, while developing skills and competencies.

leveraging a network for equity (lane) is an initiative designed to recognize and remediate the historical inequities in support for arts organizations of color and rural organizations. Participating organizations are engaged in a four-year process that includes subsidized consultancy, financial capital, convenings, and intentional peer learning.
