Mission: National Priorities Project (NPP) makes complex federal budget information transparent and accessible so people can prioritize and influence how their tax dollars are spent.
Results: Over the course of 30 years, NPP has reached millions of Americans and led a national conversation about putting the priorities of citizens into decision-making about federal spending and revenue. In 2014, we were nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of our work to track federal spending on military and war overseas.
Target demographics: citizens who wish to understand and act on federal budget policies that affect their families and communities
Direct beneficiaries per year: hundreds of nonprofit advocacy partners and ten of thousands of Americans
Geographic areas served: all fifty states and the District of Columbia
