I'm grateful that Azure Standard is carrying organic water chestnuts. Most of my family love to eat these delicious and crunchy water chestnuts with Asian meals. They also taste nice in a salad and are a good substitute for grains. For one meal I ground some up in the food processor and heated them with olive oil to make a paleo rice, and it was wonderful. I try to rinse or soak them first to remove the citric acid and then drain them before heating or serving.

I've bought this brand of water chestnuts again and again. You may need to add a little salt as they are on the bland side. Nice crunchy texture.

These are the only organic water chestnuts I can find and they are crunchy and taste great! They are quite a bit more expensive than the non-organic varieties int eh grocery store.

If you like water chestnuts, you know. If not, I guess, look elsewhere. They are crunchy but fresh, they don't have a lot of taste, but are slightly nutty, yet still refreshing and almost fruity - like a meaty, watery fruit with no taste. They are technically corms not vegetables.

Finally found an organic water chestnuts. They are flavorful and crunchy. I chop up and add to fried cauliflower rice for that extra crunch.
