No reason to purchase knock off connectors, just get the best the first time.

These are easy to solder up for making new cables or repairing old ones with bad connectors.

Solid connector albeit a tried and try design - been around for years. Needed a replacement for one that was run over buy a road case.

They're Neutrik. They're easy to solder. They're easy to assemble. They don't come apart. They're built like a tank. What more is there to say? And, yes, the non-reflective black finish is definitely worth the extra cost. :-)
