Always used cheaper 1/4” plugs, never saw the need for anything more expensive. That said, for the quality, I feel that 6$ for these is very fair. Very easy to solder, super clean design and sturdy. The strain relief is more than adequate and the rubber jacket is a stretch fit that’s strong and looks good.

High quality and easy to work with. Worked perfectly for my application.

Huge fan of Neutrik plugs. I bought these to use on some massive cables. Found that the aluminum part of the connector (the part that has the internal threads) was the same size as the cable diameter, so I dispensed with the plastic pieces and used super thick shrink wrap to seal the cable to the connector using the aluminum barrel and the gold tip only from the kit. The super thick shrink wrap then became a strain relief and melted into the aluminum housing and the cable jacket, making perhaps the best connector I have ever used. TOTALLY SATISFIED!

A few dollars and some soldering revived an old cable destined for the trash bin into a gig-worthy cable that will last for years to come. All my cables get Neutrik from now on.

I can't complain about the product's durability or build quality, however it was not easy to solder this plug. Don't let the large barrel fool you. I've used many Neutrik connectors in the past and this one was definitely the most cumbersome I've used to date. That's the reason for the 3 stars. I'm just glad I only had to assemble one of them for this repair.
