Programs: Americorps state corporation for national & community service: nevada outdoor school (nos) is a subgrantee for the americorps state formula program in nevada. The americorps program at nos offers opportunities for partner non-profit and government agencies to host a national service member to help advance their mission. Some of the national service members from this grant also serve with nevada outdoor school to assist with the planning and implementation of our education programming.

bureau of land management: nevada outdoor school (nos) has maintained an assistance agreement with the blm for the past 11 years acting as their primary partner for planning and implementation of environmental education and interpretation projects in alignment with goals for the black rock desert high rock canyon emigrant trails national conservation area and the greater winnemucca district. Nos and blm also partner on various conservation and resource protection projects. In recent years, nos has been a strong partner for the blm on department of the interior youth initiatives as well as other national programs. Nos provides youth education as well as opportunities for youth to be employed in the field of natural resources.

state of nevada, division of state parks: nevada outdoor school has maintained a strong funding partnership with nevada state parks for several years and this total funding for 2016 represents three separate grants. One grant was to deliver leave no trace trainings at valley of fire state park. The second grant is to develope a couple atv/ohv loops in the santa rosa mountains placing atv cattle guards at all the fence crossings to allow riders an uninteruped loop trail without having to stop and open and close all the livestock gates. The third state parks grant is to deliver outdoor ethics training in tread lightly and leave no trace principles as well as atv safety training for both youth and adults.

part iii 4d - other program expenses - inquiry based science lessons taught to k-8 classrooms with focus on lessons to help get kids learning and exploring outdoors. Age appropriate summer camps, atv safety and field trips also provided.
