Mission: To increase opportunities for home, community and school success for children with disabilities, including those who are at risk or who have serious emotional disturbances, their families and their service providers, through education, encouragement and empowerment activities.

Programs: Nevada pep provided over 11,660 family support service hours for families with children having emotional and behavioral challenges. Nevada pep family specialists provided education, advocacy, information and referral services to assist families in accessing services. Family specialists provided family support at 45 court hearings, and 287 child and family team/wraparound meetings statewide. Provided compassion and understanding of the unique experiences and needs of children and families while helping find the information, support and resources needed at home, in the community and at school. In addition nevada pep held monthly family to family support group meetings providing the opportunity for networking, sharing of resources, and peer support.

promoted meaningful parental engagement and involvement in the education of their children and in school reform activities to improving services and results for children with disabilities ages 0-26.Disseminated over 1,500 response to intervention brochures, provided 25 early childhood transition workshops and positive behavior approached for young children. Nevada pep provided individual support through over 2,340 contacts with parents of children 5 years old and under. Disseminated 90 "college bound" guides in print and online, and provided transition trainings to increase self awareness and self advocacy skills of youth with disabilities; improving the opportunity for successful high school completion and transition to adult life. Nevada pep disseminated printed newsletters and monthly e-newsletters, containing up to date information on education, local trainings, national issues and topics of interest.

responded to 7,565 phone, in person, and electronic requests for information and referral to help educate and empower families and professionals to improve outcomes for children with disabilities. At 290 schools accross the state, nevada pep provided one on one education and follow up support to families of children with disabilities, empowering them to participate effectively in helping their children meet developmental and functional goals. Provided 33 iep clinics and 317 trainings to help families better understand their rights and responsibilities under disability and education policy and other related topics such as: positive behavior interventions, bullying prevention, and the importance of reading instruction. Maintained interactive website and provided 43 live webinars, and archived workshops to increase access for families to the valuable information. Provided a statewide lending library available to all families to help them better understand their child's disability.
