Mission: New Day, a leader in the cancer support community, is dedicated to creating a world where no family faces the financial and emotional burden of cancer alone.

Results: In partnership with hospitals/cancer centers in Michigan that apply for assistance on behalf of cancer patients in active treatment, New Day customizes a financial treatment plan to help families alleviate financial toxicity, a harmful side effect that creates significant barriers to treatment and healing. Over the past decade, New Day has assisted over 1200 cancer patients and impacted the lives of over 3500 individuals, including 2000 children.

Target demographics: Cancer patients and their families (with dependent children living in the home)

Direct beneficiaries per year: In the first 6 months of 2022 New Day has helped 440 families with more than 1300 family members (and more than 500 children) whose lives are affected by cancer
