Mission: Newhouse is the catalyst for survivors of domestic violence to rise through the impacts of trauma by providing an ecosystem of transformative services that lead to safety, self-sufficiency and whole-person healing. Newhouse primarily serves Kansas City's urban core-an area where the majority of people live below poverty level, are exposed to high rates drugs/crime, and lack adequate education and employment skills. Our 88-bed shelter and transitional facility provides safety, respite, and a host of wraparound services to affect a positive change. (Less)
