Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services

Mission: We support the choices of people with developmental disabilities and their families. These are valued individuals involved and participating in the community, making decisions for themselves. We assist with qualifying for programs that would benefit them and their desire for productive independent living and financial success.

Programs: Since the 2016 purchase of the property on power rd and main street in mesa az, the new 5000 square foot thrift store opened up 8 more employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the course of the year, we have provided jobs and job training for 66 people with various developmental disabilities. As of the fiscal year end, june 30,2017 we have 57 active ddd members with 54 receiving paychecks for gainful, meaningful, community interactive employment. All have received increases in compensation over the course of the year in coordination with the minimum wage increase in january. Our day program in queen creek has been at full capacity since the beginning of 2017 and anticipate that to continue even as some leave the program for reasons like moving or advancing to independence.
