After a while fruit flies will take over. Place it in a dish with soapy water and nuke it in the microwave to rejuvenate it.

I only wish they were both square instead of one round and came from a larger sheet so I could trim without as much waste. This isn't their fault, just the lack of an appropriate sized filter for me needs.

Does what it's supposed to do! We can't smell our countertop compost at all when the lid is on. In some other products we've used, the weave of the filter is too wide, so they would still let smells through. But these Norpro ones are great, and a great price.
