Mission: It is the mission of Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc. to take Maltese and other small dogs into rescue that, for whatever reason, need to find new homes. We take in dogs from various situations, owner surrenders, shelters and more. We do all we can to alleviate the rescue’s pain or suffering by providing all necessary veterinary care. Our dogs are placed in safe, secure foster homes. All dogs are spayed or neutered, provided all vaccinations and are microchipped. Northcentral Maltese Rescue will work hand- in-hand, when possible, with other dog rescues. Placement of dogs follows complete background checks as well as home visits of new potential adopters. The safety and well-being is the priority for all dogs that come into our care.
Results: in 2021, we completed 20 years of dedicated rescue work and helped well over 1000 Maltese and other dogs
Target demographics: rescue Maltese dogs, Maltese mixes, occasionally some toy poodles and other small dogs
Direct beneficiaries per year: at least 100 dogs
Geographic areas served: Primarily in the North Central U. S. A. , but we will help out nationwide
Programs: complete health care, teeth cleaning, surgeries, secure foster homes, an annual picnic and attending Pet Festivals in Milwaukee and Chicago
