The foam roller is in my physical therapists' arsenal of equipment to improve posture after undergoing manipulation for a frozen shoulder; I've been lying on it on my back lengthwise, forcing my shoulders to drop back and stretch. Ultimately, I find my posture much improved! The roller is also good on your back lying on it crosswise, beginning the roll from your shoulders down to your lower back, clasping your hands behind your neck Oh it is wonderful!
