Mission: OSD is home of award-winning programs including: Games to Grunts™, 76 Operators™, Operation Supply Drop® (The Original Gaming Care Package™) & 8-Bit Salute. Since 2010, OSD has been "Making Fun Where There is None™" serving over 1.5 million+ veterans including delivering 1.3 million+ games, providing 2.5 million+ cups of coffee and volunteering for 10s of thousands of hours in the community. Since 2010, OSD has been "Making Fun Where There is None" primarily through the flag-ship programs: Games to Grunts and Operation Supply Drop (the original gaming care package). Through these programs and related efforts, over 3 million veterans and family members have been positively impacted. As we celebrate our 10 year anniversary in 2021 and look forward we will continue to emphasize personal responsibility, community involvement and play as the most valuable activations for positive mental health. We have created a clear distinction between what community involvement can provide and what situations require professional clinical support which should happen independently. We believe strongly in a mindset that, "Veteran mental health is a serious issue, all solutions are not. " This mindset sits on top of our values that include personal responsibility, accountability and awareness as well as being service-minded. With our values as the foundation, we will choose the fun path as we have done for a decade. When we game, we do so because it's fun and because it facilitates relationship building. Gaming is the catalyst for improvement mental health and wellness. We can and do talk about serious issues, but we don't want gaming or any play to turn into a chore as it has for many.
