Warm , versatile , and classic . Needed to felt it and stretch it to fit my buckethead. Felting for an awesome look and maximum warmth. Live in Midwest where the winters can be brutal , so this is a perfect cap. No chemical smells feels , looks and acts like wool , I don't doubt it's authentic.

If you don't think it is, do the flame test. There are threads inside where the top is knitted shut that you can cut off. It smells like burnt hair, as it is an animal hair. If this doesn't convince you, put it in the dryer after washing.

These are 100 wool ... if you wash and then dry in a hot dryer, they will shrink to fit a Barbie/Ken doll perfectly. You cannot unshrink them.They come as issued ... WAY too big to wear as they are meant to be worn. I soak mine for thirty minutes in hot tap water in the sink and then dry on medium heat, checking shrink periodically until they fit as I wear them, snug with about a 2 inch fold up. Then I let them air dry the rest of the way.I hope that is helpful to someone.

Because these items were quite an expensive, I expected the quality to be poor, but I was very pleasantly surprised. In this four pack, every hat was perfect, very soft, thick, and well-made. I would definitely buy these again.
