This worked REALLY well for me. I work in a speech clinic and need to keep my ID off of my neck, but still visible. After my last ID was lost from back clip falling off my pants, I spent time looking for one with a carabiner. The fact this has both options works out perfectly.

Does what it's supposed to. Hasn't malfunctioned in a year or so of moderate use. Clip could be tighter, but I don't really use it. Plus it hasn't fallen off of me yet, so I don't know why I said that.

It's not a perfect badge holder. mine worked about 4 months and then broke. but it looks good on your belt and do not have anything weird like many of other badge holders. The reels work pretty smooth.

Silver ring broke off after a few weeks. Kinda bulky for the office environment I work in. Not very sturdy.

I've purchased abou half a dozen of these over the past 6 months or so. They break every so often, most times because of operator error but sometimes just out of nowhere. I'm done buying them, $6 is too much to justify for a cheap product like this once a months.

it works, what can I say. The clip on top is nice for attaching my badges to the cage behind the front seats in my work vehicle. spring for retracting is adequate, not too weak not too strong.

I've used this daily for almost 2 years with no problems. I can wear it clipped to a belt loop or on my waistband and it keeps my ID card safely out of the way. Much better than wearing it around your neck! I will definitely purchase again!

This was terrible! I got this to replace a cheap plastic clip reel key holder (the ones that come in a multi-pack) that was getting warn after using for 1 1/2 years. This, more expensive one, didn't last 2 months before the string stopped recoiling. Being mechanically inclined, I investigated the problem with the string not recoiling. Apparently, an internal plastic part (yes, plastic) intended to hold the tension of the metal spring broke off. I'm a teacher, so I do not use the recoiling function often throughout the day. Therefore, I was very disappointed I paid more money for what ended up being a cheaper quality product.

This badge holder is well made and has both the clip and the carabiner. However, I didn't realize that the carabiner would dig into my side when I clipped the holder to my belt. I suppose it would be fine if clipped to your shirt it would be fine. It is good product.
