Sturdy, quality, the clasp is strong. It is a great ID, key, small tool holder. It is not an industrial strength one however.

I needed something to connect my keys and my supervisor card. This works great with the extension cord. Thank you.

It will break eventually, like all ID badge reels, but only because the string will eventually wear out. Other than that, it's practically indestructible. After going through cheap ID reels like candy, this one is worth the price.

I used to use one that had a spring clip for my belt... I bought a bunch of them, because the cord or chain would break pretty much monthly. This one is really nice, it's more attractive and more discreet. I clip it to my belt buckle and keep my badge in my pocket. When I need it, the cord is nice and long. When I come in to work with my mountain bike and backpack, the old one was a little short. This one is a little longer, and so far I've been using the same one for several months. I have not broken the first cord yet. I bought three of them, thinking that would last me a few months. That may change to lasting me a few years!

The secretaries go crazy over this bad boy. The way I just zip in n out of secured doors with such ease, while those other suckers bend over with their clip-ons.

Great product for the money. Only misgiving is that the line doesn't retract very well for heavy key chains, but I have no basis for comparison. I've never used one of these before.

I used this daily at work with my badge. I have a tendency to play with it and pull it out and allow it to retract probably on average at least 30 times a day (other than the times I have to actually use it to badge in). After 6 months it still offers a lot of resistance but I notice sometimes it seem to be stopping about 6 short due to the weight of the badge and holder, so I just give it a little extra pull up. (Once it's retracted it doesn't droop). I like it and will probably buy it again. Considering the price I would recommend getting a couple of them so when the spring finally wears out you can just replace it. Other than that I guess you could say it is a bit bulky, but I don't mind. The end that clicks to your lanyard can also hold other things like keys, a flash drive, or other small devices.
